I opened up Facebook this morning and was exposed to an ad for the latest golf swing “secret” to increase my tee shots by 40 yards, without swinging harder.  Yes!

Naturally, as an experienced golf instructor, I know that’s complete bunk, but I digress.

I am obviously biased in my belief that the best way to increase your swing speed is to get stronger.

Yes, there might be a flaw in your swing that is holding you back, but those swing flaws can be tough to correct.

Therefore, I am a huge proponent of strength training as a means of gaining clubhead speed, and maintaining speed as you age.

However, don’t just take my word for it.
